About the Data & AI Value Assessment

This data and AI value assessment is for executive teams who are spending on data and AI and want to know whether that spending is set up to pay back. It takes about six minutes. You answer seventeen questions about how your organisation decides what to fund, how the work gets delivered, and whether anyone checks the value afterwards.

The questions come from the Data & AI Strategy Canvas, the method in my book The Strategy Canvas: A Field Guide for Data & AI. They cover four areas: the business outcome behind the investment, the decision it is meant to change, whether the data, people and systems are ready, and who owns the result once it is delivered.

In most organisations I work with, the technology isn’t the problem. The money goes in, the work gets delivered, and nobody can say what came back. This assessment is a quick way to see where that gap might be in yours.

Who is it for?

CEOs, CFOs, COOs, CIOs and CDAOs, and anyone responsible for data and AI investment decisions.

How is it scored?

Each area is scored from your answers. “Don’t know” is reported separately, never counted as zero. There is no single overall score, because an average lets a strong area hide a weak one. It is a self-assessment, not an audit or a benchmark.

Do I need to give my email?

No. Your results appear on this page, and your answers stay in your browser. Nothing is sent to us.
